Our gourmet addresses
BLEND ODEON (6E) – Burger Addicts
When we talk about “hamburgers”, very often children are interested. Here, the buns are remarkable, slightly crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. They are composed of natural ingredients and made according to the pure American tradition but with the French touch of one of the best bakers in France, Frédéric Lalos. Inside, we choose what we want. The kid’s favorite (ours) is the cheesy bacon with cheddar cheese compote, bacon, aged beef, fried onions and house-made ketchup. It’s good, it’s tender, it drips!
Blend Odéon, 4, rue de l’Ancienne-Comédie, 6. Open 7 days a week. Hamburger between 10 and 15 euros, 20 euros with chips and drink.
BREIZH CAFE (3RD) – Pancake Party
This is THE galettes du Marais plan. Inside on benches or on the small terrace if you manage to win the Grail. Or to arrive early… You have the choice between the wholemeal dears (butter duvet, cooked ham, Comté cheese topped with a fried egg) at its most Breton with Guémené andouille. And for the pancakes? It’s also good. Most popular among the kids (ours again): pancake with applesauce, salted butter caramel, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Double dose of dream for us when the kids don’t make it to the end.
Breizh Café le Marais, 109, rue Vieille-du-Temple, 3. Open 7 days a week. A la carte, count around thirty euros.
