Porsche, Ferrari, Bugatti…
Antoine Dufilho has made his passion for beautiful cars his visual and plastic signature. In just a few years, this self-taught artist, architect by training, has made a name for himself on the global contemporary scene by creating these amazing steel sculptures, cars in solid aluminum with minimalist curves. Defying the laws of abstraction, the sculptor manipulates the void, decomposes reality by dividing the forms of a car into successive layers with, it must be said, a certain talent… Dufilho can thus boast of counting old rally cars among his collectors. pilots like Jean Todt!
After biting Betty Boop
and Daffy Duck, Mick Jagger and Steve McQueen, Dominique Capocci takes on the great classics of art history. Here the painter reinterprets an absolute Renaissance masterpiece, the divine Raphael’s Madonna Aldobrandini, in a supercharged version with explosive colours. In accordance with Christian iconography and the illustrious model of her, the canvas represents Mary, holding the Child Jesus on her knees in the presence of little Saint John. Except for one detail, the youngsters sport the symbols of two pop culture superheroes: Batman and Superman.
