“Temperaments”
Wind and piano sextet | french portraits
Louise Farrenc – Albert Roussel – Vincent d’Indy – Francis Poulenc – Jean Françaix

The Cap Atlantique Music Conservatory is a place for training, practice and dissemination of music open to all. An activity center in its own right, each year it unfolds an important section of cultural actions and musical dissemination that represents more than 80 annual meetings. That is why the Conservatory offers this show Les Tempéraments.

These are six musicians happy to meet to share their pleasure in music. Chamber music for wind instruments and piano inspired many French composers between 1850 and 1950. Thanks to five compositions for sextet, here is an exhibition of “French portraits” from the classicism of Louise Farrenc to the ardor and humor of Jean Françaix.

Gaëlle Tilizien: piano • Sylvie Nore-Semlali: clarinet • Agnès Abadie: oboe • Marc Sezestre:
transverse flute • Eric Bestautte: horn • Alexandra Mauriac: bassoon
