The event has proven itself; It is not, therefore, about abandoning it. For the seventh consecutive year, the municipal schools of the Frameries entity will soon benefit from a moment of music and conviviality. These are, in fact, part of the ORCW for Kids project, proposed by the Orchester Royal de Chambre de Wallonie in collaboration with the cultural center of Frameries, and aimed at bringing children closer to classical music in a fun way.
On May 4 at the École de la Victoire and on May 6 at the École de la Libération, fourth and fifth grade students will enjoy four concerts of the fifth work of “a clown in the land of classical music. Finally in chords!” On stage, the little ones will meet a string quartet, made up of musicians from the Orchester Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, namely Jean-Frédéric Molard (violin), Red Gjeci (violin), Kela Canka (viola), Hans Vandaele (cello) and Anne-Sophie Delire (clown).
Accompanied by the clown and his double bass, this quartet must “unquestionably lead all children to the crossroads of the musical epic”, according to Frameries Education Councilor Florence Van Hout (MR). “The artist-clown, Anne-Sophie Delire, is also a teacher and teacher of circus, mime, juggling, magic and tap dancing. She wonderfully accompanies the musicians, very beautiful emotions will be read on the faces of the captivated and impressed children.”
A promise also made by Laurent Fack, Director General of the ORCW. “When the magic and poetry of the clown are mixed with the charm of classical music, we get unforgettable shows, with the ORCW musicians accompanied on stage by a clown who will turn everything upside down for the happiness of young and old.” For the members, it was obvious to renew the experience of this ORCW for Kids.
Especially since last year, due to the health crisis and the red code in force in schools, the functions could not be carried out in February as initially planned. As a result, the children and all the partners, namely the Center Culturel de Frameries, the municipal administration and the ORCW in collaboration with the CPAS, had decided to offer the show to the elderly to give a little balm to the heart during this difficult weather.
It was the residents of the Les Écureuils residence who enjoyed a unique and intimate concert.
