“Les Hauts-en-Scènes”, his new musical program on France 3 Hauts-de-France offers you an exclusive concert by Skip the use recorded in the sumptuous setting of the La Piscine museum in Roubaix, on the occasion of the publication of his new album.
In early 2022, the group released a fifth album, “Human Disorder”, conceived during the lockdowns linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, in the form of “diary of the last two years”. If the sound and musical style of Skip the use still recognizable among a thousand, the album contains three French titles, a first for the group and singer, Mat Bastard.

It’s a real renewal for the group, which broke up in 2016, before reforming around two historical members, singer Mat Bastard and guitarist Yan Stefani three years later, in 2019; drummer Enzo Gabert and bassist Nelson Martins complete the lineup.
Mat Bastard came to present the new album Skip the use on March 28 at the France 3 Hauts-de-France 12/13.

Skip the use is defined above all by its unmatched energy and punk-rock songs in English under various influences: disco, electro, rap.
The group has participated in numerous festivals (Printemps de Bourges, Main Square Festival, Solidays, Rock en Seine, Eurockéennes, Francofolies, Garorock, etc.), which has allowed it to consolidate its reputation. On stage, “STU” offers elegant, inspired and powerful shows, led by a singer with electric batteries.
In addition to the enthusiasm of the public, Skip the use also receives recognition from the legends that inspired the norteño group. They are invited to open for Trust, Rage Against The Machine and Muse.
- 2008: creation of the group by the 5 former members of the punk group Carving, from Ronchin (North)
- 2010-2011: tour in France and around the world (Canada, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Latvia).
- 2012: gold record (“Can Be Late”, second album)
- 2013: Best Rock Album Award at the Victoires de la Musique
- 2016: separation. Mat Bastard moved to Los Angeles and became close to the metal band Nine Inch Nails and the world of hip-hop.
- 2019: reformation as a quartet. Release of a fourth album, “Past & Future” (Polydor)
