Aveyron: cuisine and music come together at Cassuéjouls

The 2nd edition of “Good Bell Spirit” is enriched with activities for a “musicoolinaire” festival on June 4 and 5.

For the second year in a row, a small group of Aveyronnais natives organizes a “musicoolinaire” festival whose recipe is to offer music and cuisine in a “good church spirit”. This is the name of the party. Here, or rather up there, in the Aubrac garden, in Cassuéjouls, townspeople and country people meet to have fun. A party where everything is possible. Where the 15th-century church becomes a musical stage, the ancestral communal wood-fired oven burns for the greatest chefs, and the town’s café is transformed into a dance floor and cocktail bar.

In short, the meeting of lauze, laguiole, Aveyron wine and Aubrac veal, with the best of the independent, electro and jazz culinary scene, French and elsewhere! “In collaboration with Les Clés de l’Aubrac, we have promoted the festival with a gourmet market with those who move the north of Aveyron”, enthusiastic announcement Alexandre Cammas, founder of the festival. From North Aveyron and Ruthénois to see the program (see opposite page). Enough to whet your taste and hearing appetite with, in particular, Giovanni Passerini, one of the best Italian chefs, and the virtuoso Christophe Chassol, who has collaborated, among others, with the Phœnix group and Sébastien Tellier.

This artist performed at the Place du Vendôme, which will change in June for the Aubrac garden! Also noteworthy is the candlelight concert (ambience of the Diptyque luxury candle brand in Paris, please!) to warm up the Icelandic pianist Eydís Evensen at the end of the festival. Therefore, it is all the senses that will be awakened on June 4 and 5, above all, coexistence on the menu with a good parish spirit.
