Despite the health crisis, activity has been maintained with a stable workforce, it must be said that everything possible has been done upstream of remote monitoring, reorganization of schedules and premises so that everything goes as well as possible. However, there is a slight decrease in the figures, which amounted to 260 students last September due to the uncertainty and duration of the crisis.
In recent months, artistic activity has been able to actively resume and there are no less than 16 events that make this structure shine; class auditions, Night of Music Schools, participation in the territory project with the Flute Orchestra in Saint-Céré, the “Become a Musician” project in Capdenac, Carnival in Assier with traditional music classes, performance of Theater workshops …
Internships are also regularly organized with our various partners: Not Wise Company Reviews for a discovery of chamber games in April, musical colo MAO with the Exit from the federation this summer…
The president thanked the educational and management teams for their investment and the students and parents for supporting the association. He highlighted the maintenance of subsidies by local authorities and state aid that have made it possible to maintain a healthy economic situation.
An exceptional music festival in 2022
The end of the year will be marked by an emblematic event, a great concert in collaboration with the schools and primary classes of Grand Figeac, the Harmony of united craftsmen, the Lycée Champollion. No fewer than 350 musicians and singers will pay tribute to Jean-François Champollion on Tuesday 21 June in a colorful music festival, a project that is part of the program “Eureka” carried out by the city and the community of municipalities.
At this meeting, the Board of Directors was also renewed. The members of the office and elected unanimously are: Guillaume Baldy, President, David Chabannes, Vice President, Véronique Botella, Treasurer, Françoise Morcher, Deputy Treasurer, Théodora, Secretary; Michel Estrade, undersecretary.
