Summer is fast approaching. And who says summer, says parties in the Pays de Meaux (Seine-et-Marne). For 12 years, the Festif l’Art has made the inhabitants of the agglomeration dance and even more so to the rhythm of music of various and varied styles.

After a cancellation in 2020 due to Covid-19 and a 2021 edition complicated by weather conditions, the Festif l’Art returns, the first weekend of next July, for a season of festivals under the sign of novelty. Starting with the location.

A new place chosen for the party

After several months of research, the Siffl’Art association, organizer of the event, ended up finding the ideal place to receive the revelers of the Pays de Meaux. The festival definitively leaves the municipality of Chauconin-Neufmontiers “after 10 beautiful years”, for the village of Poincy, “where it all began”, explains Asso Siffl’Art.

The land selected by the association’s volunteers is “larger, more practical and above all not subject to flooding for the well-being of festival goers and volunteers.”

It was after heavy downpours and mudslides last year that the Festif l’Art decided to move. But it is not the only reason. The geographical position of the ancient site also weighed in the balance. “We need better land. The current one is not close to the road, there is a good 500 meters of road”, described Damien Valade, president of the association, during his search for a new place.

The latter must be easily accessible for volunteers who must install no less than five stages and structures for children, but also for firefighters in the event of a problem.

If the town of Poincy has just been unveiled as the venue for the next edition of the Festif l’Art, the exact location will only be communicated to the 11,000 annual visitors a week before the start of the festival.

A new year on the theme of the future.

The new course is the only big change this year. For the rest, the program remains unchanged with concerts, DJs, street performances, activities, graffiti… Everything on the theme of “journey into the future”.

The first artists present at the Festif l’Art have just been known by the general public: Demi Portion, Tiwony, Ko Ko Mo, Monty Picon, Reuben Stone, Nout Heretik and WBBL. “Some local artists will also be with us, like GrönaZ and In The Can. The rest of the names of the artistic team are yet to come…” Asso Siffl’Art promises, thus leaving suspense in the air.

Pay-on-the-spot tickets remain free on Friday, July 1, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and on Saturday, July 2, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Outside these time slots, the price is set at a minimum of €20. Tickets are valid for both days of the festival. The public can now purchase a 2-day Fast Pass for €20 on the festival website. More information:
