RTL reveals to you that Michel Polnareff is back on the road for a score of dates. The singer will premiere on May 24, 2023 at the Palais Nikaïa in Nice. brand new tour since he will sing from a central stage! “I hope it doesn’t go too fast and that I’m not going to turn into a microwave,” jokes Michel Polnareff at the RTL microphone. The show will be divided into two: a first part will be with a piano voice, a second with musicians.
Michel Polnareff will perform in various Zeniths and arenas in France in spring and early summer. It will be at the Zénith de Nantes on May 30, in Poitiers on May 31, on June 1 in Orleans, on June 3 in Saint-Etienne, on June 4 in Geneva, on June 5 in Dijon, on June 9 June in Brest, June 10 in Rouen, June 11 in Amiens, June 15 in Reims, June 17 in Amnéville, June 18 in Strasbourg, June 22 in Bordeaux, June 23 in June in Toulouse, June 24 in Clermont-Ferrand, June 30 in Brussels, July 1 in Douai. Michel Polnareff will play at the Accor Arena in Paris on July 2, 2023.
Michel Polnareff will also sing at two festivals: June 16 at the Nuits de Fourvière in Lyon and July 8 at the Nîmes Festival. The central stage cannot be used on these two dates.
The return of the controversial and mythical 1972 poster
His latest unreleased album Finally !, released in 2018, it had been promoted from Las Vegas. Thus, six years have passed since the 78-year-old singer did not return to France. He confirmed during this interview his return to the stage: “We are going to do the piano voice. I’m already asking myself the question ‘can we have a whole evening with only piano voice?’ It’s going to be a different experience because when you come with a rhythm, it takes you. Going there alone changes the data a bit.” And Michel Polnareff to add: “What I want is for all of us to have a good time. I’m going to have to get back in shape.”

On turning 78 this summer, the singer confesses “this may be my last tour, but I think about it on every tour, since the first!” And to add that a tour is always a physical test for him: “It is a great pleasure and at the same time it is dangerous. Check out the latest! I almost got over it though.”
To promote this tour, its new producer had the idea of reinventing the mythical and controversial 1972 poster for his concert at the Olympia. A show called at that time. Polnavolution. In this poster, Michel Polnareff – dressed as Paco Rabanne with a hat – had his back turned and showed his buttocks. This poster had earned him at the time a sentence for indecent assault (a crime that no longer exists today) 10 francs per poster placed or a fine of 60,000 francs.

In the new version, Michel’s buttocks do not appear once… but three times! Polnareff triples, his jersey is once blue, once white, and once red to create a French flag effect. The question ? “Didn’t you want to redo the photo with your buttocks today?” The singer responded with a very Polnareffian formula: “I thought about it but decided to sit on it.”
